Bangkok, Thailand, August 19, 2019 – AVC President Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser visited AVC Headquarters in Bangkok on Monday to hear activities AVC has done so far and support all staff working at the volleyball-governing body.
Upon his arrival at the Headquarters, Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser, who was on his way to Seoul for the 20th Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship, greeted everyone he met with “Good morning, how are you?” and gave a smile.
Shortly after that, the AVC President chaired a brief meeting with all AVC staff. He praised them all for dedication, good teamwork and successful management. “I would like to thank everyone for being dedicated and hard working. Keep up the good work,” Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser said in his speech to all AVC staff.
He also praised AVC Secretary-General Mr Shanrit Wongprasert and AVC General Manager Dr Rueangsak Siriphol for their devotion to the governing body and being able to work with such nice colleagues for several years.
Mr Shanrit then reported on AVC activities not only in terms of competitions, but also management and development. Hearing what the AVC has achieved so far, Dr Saleh asked Mr Shanrit to send the AVC activity report to all AVC’s affiliated NFs in order that they will know what’s going on at the AVC and how far the AVC activities have been completed so far.
“I think after learning that how far the AVC has done its activities this year, all National Federations will understand how dedicated you all are to work for the AVC,” Dr Saleh continued.
Concerning topics including the TV rights problem were also raised in the meeting.
“We try to satisfy fans with the live broadcast, but at the same time, we have to please AVC sponsors and supporters since their main income come from selling the live broadcast signals.
“We have to improve our products, but we also have to work under the policy of the AVC Board of Administration. We tried to coordinate with all affiliated NFs and AVC Technical Committees. I would like to say that we are ready to follow advice from the President and the other Board of Administration Members,” Mr Shanrit explained.
Dr Saleh suggested AVC Secretary-General Mr Shanrit that he send all well-done activities to FIVB in order that they will know what AVC is doing and how far its activities have been completed.
“Well done to all the staff and a big thank you. All activities are working well in AVC. However, if the going gets tough, I’m still confident that all of you will overcome all obstacles and get success out of what you have been doing,” the AVC President concluded.
