Bahrain Volleyball Association held its second Executive Committee Meeting of the 2023 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship at the meeting hall inside its headquarters to generally discuss the progress of preparation for hosting the continent’s topflight club championship between May 14 and 21.
His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Volleyball Association and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, presided over the meeting, attended by BVA Vice President Mr Mohamed Ahmed Al-Thawadi, BVA Secretary General Mr Feras Al-Halwachi, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and the rest of chairpersons of the working committees.
His Excellency Mr Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), was guest of honour at the meeting.
His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa opened the meeting with a speech in which he welcomed Mr Faris Al-Kooheji, praising the support and interest that the association has received from the BOC, headed by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and expressing his delight and gratitude for Mr Al-Kooheji’s visit to the association.
The BVA President added that the BOC Secretary General’s visit and attendance in the Executive Committee Meeting will help him get acquainted with the efforts and work achieved by the association to host the prestigious Asian event.
Mr Al-Kooheji also expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Bahrain Volleyball Association to host the Asian Men’s Club Championship, stressing that the BOC stands by the association to embrace the championship, overcome all difficulties and provide all the required support to the association to achieve the desired success.
Furthermore, he expressed his confidence in the association’s ability to successfully host the championship, based on its experience and reputation in organizing major global and continental championships, and wished all working committees a great success.
Mr Feras Al-Halwachi, BVA Secretary General and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the championship, also gave a brief explanation on the nature of the work of the Executive Committee and presented to the BOC Secretary General the chairpersons of the working committees and their work tasks with the rest of the members .
