Ahead of the opening, AVC President Mrs Rita Subowo delivered a welcome speech.
“Welcome all participants to Bangkok, Thailand. On behalf of AVC, I’m very pleased and honoured to welcome all of you to the opening ceremony of the EuroAsia Coaches Cooperation Project. Since the main activity of the project will be held within the end of this year, it is very important to create the best instructors to lead the coaches from Europe and Asia who will attend this project. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to European Volleyball Confederation President Mr Aleksandar Boricic and all CEV staff for your kind and continued coordination with AVC and AVC staff even though we knew that this period is not so easy because of the COVID-19 pandemic which made us very difficult to work together.
“Because of this great collaboration and support, the project has been running smoothly and we can count it as continuous program between Asia and Europe, AVC and CEV. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to NOC of Thailand, Sports Authority of Thailand, Thailand Volleyball Association President, FIVB Development Centre for this great contribution. AVC will continue supporting the project in every aspect and wish the best success of this course for the preparation of the most important target before the end of 2022. Wishing you all a very pleasure staying in Bangkok and a safe trip back home after the course,” she was quoted as saying in her speech.
NOCT Deputy Secretary General Gen. Ronnachai Munchusoontornkul and TVA President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang each gave a welcome speech to all participants and thanked CEV and AVC for choosing Thailand as the main site for organising the eagerly-anticipated one-week workshop.
