FIVB President also set to attend high-level meetings with Maldives President His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Salih and government officials
A delegation from the FIVB, led by FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F°, is visiting the Republic of Maldives to discuss the country’s bright future in beach volleyball with government and sports officials.
The FIVB President was welcomed to the country by the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof, Volleyball Association of Maldives President Mohamed Raneysh and Secretary General Aishath Susan Haneef, in addition to other sports officials.
Upon arrival, the FIVB President gave a televised briefing alongside the President of the Volleyball Association of Maldives to explain their vision for the development of beach volleyball in the country.
During the interview, FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° said:
“It is a pleasure to be here in the Republic of the Maldives to discuss the bright future of beach volleyball in your country. Our team of dedicated professionals at the FIVB has already had several discussions with the Volleyball Association of Maldives on its plans for beach volleyball. And I can say these are ambitious and strong plans which showcase a true passion for our beloved sport.”
During the visit, the FIVB President will discuss the development of the beach volleyball in the country, the presence of Maldives’ national teams on the international stage and future opportunities for advancing sports tourism through beach volleyball.
