Bangkok, Thailand, March 19, 2021 – Jiangsu swept past Fujian 3-0 on Friday for their fourth straight win in the Chinese Men’s Volleyball League in Qinhuangdao.
Zhou Liying scored 13 points to lead Jiangsu to the 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-21) victory while Yu Yuantai added nine.
Jiangsu led Pool B with 12 points through four wins without loss, followed by Sichuan, which collected their third win in four matches after beating Shandong 3-1.
Also in Pool B, Tianjin saw off Hebei also by 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-23) to improve to a 2-2 win-loss record.
In Pool A, Zhejiang rallied past Henan 3-1 (24-26, 25-21, 25-20, 25-13), Shanghai overcame Guangdong 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-16) and Hubei tamed Liaoning 3-0 (25-16, 28-26, 25-12). Having reaped four wins in a row, Pool A leader Beijing had a rest day on Friday.
A total of 13 teams have been playing in two preliminary pools in a round-robin format with the top four finishers from each pool to qualify for the quarterfinals.
