Looking at improving their VNL record in 2021
Korea have been in the shadow of other Asian powerhouses such as China and Japan, but are always out to inflict damage to any opponent who underestimates them. They ranked 12th in the inaugural FIVB Volleyball Nations League in 2018, dropping to 15th in 2019.
Keep your sights on Kim Yeon Koung. At 33, the experienced and highly decorated outside hitter (including the MVP award of the London 2012 Olympic Games) remains the driving force behind the Korean national team. After several years in Europe, either side of a stint in China, Kim returned home to play for Heungkuk Life for the latest club season.
Watch all Korea’s matches in the 2018 and 2019 editions of the VNL and be ready for 2021!
