Bangkok, Thailand, October 5, 2020 – The Qatar Volleyball Association has announced match schedule of the Qatar Cup for the 2019-2020 season, with top four teams of the Qatar Men’s Volleyball League vying for the top honour, QVA said in a news release on its official website volleyball.qa on Monday.
The semi-final matches will be held coming Wednesday, and the first match will be between Police Sports Club (League title-holders) and Al-Ahli (fourth in the League) at the QVA Hall, followed by Al-Arabi (the League runners-up) against Al-Rayyan (third in the League).
The return (second) matches will be held on Friday, where Al-Arabi will meet Al-Rayyan, and Police will meet Al-Ahli.
On Sunday, a decisive match will be held for the third place, with the final match to be held on Wednesday, October 14.
The QVA also set coming Thursday as the kickoff of qualifying matches for HH The Amir Cup for the 2019-2020 season, where Al Gharafa will meet with Al Shamal, followed by Al Khor and Al Sadd.
On Saturday, the tournament matches will see Qatar Sports Club play Al Sadd and Al-Wakrah challenge Al Shamal.
Next Tuesday, October 13, Al-Wakrah will take on Al-Gharafa and Qatar Sports Club go head-to-head with Al-Khor.
The Qatar Volleyball Association has prepared and taken all precautionary measures to ensure safety of players and officials taking part in the championships in line with the guidelines set out by health authorities within the State of Qatar.
