AL RAYYAN FORFEIT GAME AFTER FIELDING 4 FOREIGN IMPORTS IN MATCH AGAINST AL-GHARAFA

The “QVA” Competitions Committee decided that Al Rayyan forfeited the match against Al-Gharafa, the team they had earlier beaten 3-1 on December 28. This came as a result of an administrative error of Al Rayyan, which fielded four foreign players in that match, regarded as the regulatory violation.

Following the Committee’s decision, three points were deducted from Al Rayyan, bringing their overall scores to 19 and dropped to fifth place in the standing. At the same time, three points had been added to Al-Gharafa for 9 points in total.

QVA CHANGES SCHEDULE FOR SECOND ROUND MATCHES

The Qatar Volleyball Association has made an amendment to the remaining matches of the second round of the Senior Men`s Volleyball League this season.

Following the competition amendment, the second round matches will now be held from January 1 to February 6, 2021 instead of the previous dates of December 21 to January 20, 2021.
