In-form Police SC successfully defended their title at the 38th GCC Volleyball Club Championship for Men in Bahrain as the Qatari side outperformed Omani Al-Kamel Al-Wafi in thrilling straight sets on Saturday.
Four teams consisting of Police SC, title-holders and Qatar’s league champions, Al Kamil Wal Wafi of Oman, Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait and hosts Bahrain’s Al Ahli strutted their stuff in the March 5-12 tournament to vie for the top honour.
The Saturday’s match to determine the eventual winners proved a one-way traffic as Police had no difficulty in brushing off the Omani rivals 25-20, 25-14, 25-17 to capture back-to-back titles.
