Bangkok, Thailand, December 10, 2020 – The Qatar Volleyball Association announced the match schedule of the General Beach Volleyball League for Men, volleyball.qa reported on Wednesday.
The tournament, which will start on December 20 and continue until February 11, 2021 at Al-Gharafa Beach Courts, has attracted 10 clubs to vie for top honour. They are Al-Rayyan, Al-Khor, Police, Al-Arabi, Qatar, Al-Wakrah, Al-Gharafa, Al-Ahli, Al-Sadd and Al-Shamal.
The QVA confirmed that the Beach League will be held in a single-round club league system, where each club will compulsorily participate with two teams – Team A consists of two players, citizens or a citizen and a resident, the two players are under 21 years old and devoted to beach volleyball. The second team may consist of citizen or resident players who are registered for the beach or inside the halls.
On the first day of the League system, Al-Gharafa will take on Qatar, and Al-Sadd challenge Al-Arabi. On December 22, Al-Ahli test their mettle against Police and Al-Rayyan pit their expertise against Al-Shamal, while on December 24, Al-Khor will play Al-Wakrah and Qatar play Al-Arabi.
