Bangkok, Thailand, April 12, 2021 – The Board of Directors of the Qatar Volleyball Association, chaired by Mr Ali bin Ghanim Al-Kuwari, held a meeting on Monday, with QVA Secretary General Mr Yousef Kano, Assistant Secretary Mr Saeed Salem Al-Jamaani as well as Board Members Mr Mubarak Eid Al-Abdullah and Mr Mohammad Salem Al-Kuwari and Mr Hussein Imam, Technical expert of the QVA.
The meeting reviewed the Minutes of the previous meeting and discussed the positives and negatives of the sports season 2020-2021 and the future plans for the next season.
Furthermore, they also reviewed suggestions and ideas put forward by the clubs, while the most prominent observations and difficulties facing them in the wake of the emerging COVID-19 pandemic had also been taken for further discussion.
The QVA President expressed his delight to meet with Members of the Board of Directors after end of the sports season with fruitful conclusion, with Police team being crowned the Senior Men`s League champions, Al-Ahli capturing the Qatar Cup, and Al Rayyan landing the Amir cup.
He pointed out that the proposals in the meeting will be thoroughly studied in order that they will come out with the best possible decisions to contribute to development of volleyball competitions in coming seasons.
He also stressed that the new season will witness a great challenge for the national teams, as the beach volleyball team continues their intensive training in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics as well as the connections of national teams of all ages with external participations in addition to the participation of Qatari clubs in tournaments at the continental and regional levels.
