VOLLEYBALL WORLD OPENS BID PROCESS FOR FUTURE EDITIONS OF BEACH VOLLEYBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Expressions of interest invited for 2023, 2025 and 2027 editions

Volleyball World has officially invited National Federations (NFs) and organisers to submit expressions of interest to host the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2023, 2025 or 2027.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships represents the pinnacle of beach volleyball, a sport which boasts a global audience of 489 million. Held every two years, this prestigious event sees 48 teams per gender battle it out over 10 days of competition for the world title. With 208 matches in total, the competition offers plenty of thrilling action for live spectators and fans across the world to enjoy.

The last edition, hosted in 2019 in Hamburg, Germany achieved a cumulative audience of 158 million viewers worldwide, across 77 broadcasters and 112 countries. Italy is set to stage the upcoming rescheduled edition in 2022.

Interested NFs and/or event organisers can now submit an expression of interest form by 30 November 2021 to event.hosting@volleyball.world.
