Bids for the three editions can be submitted until 29 April 2022
Volleyball World has officially invited National Federations (NFs) and event organisers to submit bid applications to host the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2023, 2025 or 2027.
The next three editions of the event can be staged between June and August in the Northern Hemisphere or between September and November in the Southern Hemisphere. Interested NFs and/or event organisers can now submit their bidding form(s) by 29 April 2022 to event.hosting@volleyball.world. The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships represent the pinnacle of beach volleyball, a sport which boasts a global audience of 489 million. Held every two years, this prestigious event sees 48 teams per gender battle it out over 10 days of competition for the world title. With 208 matches in total, the competition offers plenty of thrilling action for live spectators and fans across the world to enjoy.
The last edition, hosted in 2019 in Hamburg, Germany achieved a cumulative audience of 158 million viewers worldwide, across 77 broadcasters and 112 countries. Italy is set to stage the upcoming rescheduled edition in 2022 from 7-19 June in Rome.
