22 COMPLETE FIVB INTERNATIONAL BV COACHES COURSE IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand, October 18, 2019 – After four days of fun-filled activities in a lively and knowledgable way, the FIVB International Beach Volleyball Coaches Course, conducted theoretically and practically by FIVB Course Instructor Mr David Hynd Smith, came to a successful conclusion at the FIVB Development Centre in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday.

AVC Secretary-General Mr Shanrit Wongprasert presided over the presentation of achievement certificates and the closing ceremony, with Mr Chai Nimakorn, Director of the FIVB DC in Bangkok, Thailand, and Mr Issara Riddhisinha, General Manager of the FIVB DC, in attendance as guests of honour.

In his speech, Mr Shanrit said, “On behalf of FIVB and AVC, I would like to congratulate all of you on your success in this program. I wish to see all of you officiate at the Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships and also the FIVB U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Thailand next year. All schedules have already been confirmed and you can check relevant information on the AVC Website. And please inform your federation that if there is no participation, organization and development can hardly be seen. This is very important for AVC Headquarters because we are always willing to serve you all affiliated federations only in Asia. I sincerely wish all of you the continued success as coach and I hope that you will come back again next year.”

FIVB Course Instructor Mr David Hynd Smith thanked all parties for their supports and insisted all attendants that they focus on online learning.

“On behalf of FIVB, I would like to once again thank the FIVB DC in Bangkok, Thailand, TVA, and all the staff for their kind supports, hospitality and generosity. Without them, the course cannot come to a fruitful end like this. For those who have some problems on online parts, I can only suggest that you please try to contact the FIVB Development directly in order that the problems can be solved as early as possible. At the same time, for those who have completed the course, you need to pass the online test to get the FIVB certificate. I wish all of you a bright future in your career,” said Mr David Smith.

A total of 22 potential coaches and candidates from six countries – two apiece from Kenya and Maldives, one each from Laos, Malaysia and Norway, 14 Thais and one Maldivian observer – attended the FIVB International Beach Volleyball Coaches Course at the FIVB Development Centre in Bangkok, Thailand from October 14 to 18, 2019.
