ABDUKODIR TASHKULOV ELECTED NEW PRESIDENT OF UZBEKISTAN VOLLEYBALL FEDERATION

Bangkok, Thailand, February 7, 2022 – Mr Abdukodir Khamidovich Tashkulov, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was unanimously elected President of the Uzbekistan Volleyball Federation following the Extraordinary Reporting and Election Conference of the Federation on February 4, 2022 at the Conference Hall, National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

The 46-year-old Abdukodir Tashkulov, who was appointed Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2021, won the last Friday’s election by acclamation as he was the sole candidate for the post.

The Election Conference was attended by Members of the UVF Executive Committee including UVF Secretary General Mr Khusan Nasrullayev, officials, heads of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan, honorary athletes and the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education.

At the Conference, officials of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and athletes spoke and commented on the work done in Uzbekistan in an effort of developing the sport of volleyball.

The issue of electing the new UVF President was considered at a special reporting and Election Conference of the Federation at the National Olympic Committee.

Following the election, the Ministry team congratulated Abdukodir Khamidovich Tashkulov on this responsible position and wished him a great success in the sustainable development of volleyball in the country and its popularization among young people.
