AFGHAN WOMEN IMMIGRANTS IN IRAN KICK OFF TRAINING STINT AT NATIONAL WOMEN’S ACADEMY

Tehran, Iran, February 17, 2021 – The first training stint of Afghan Women Immigrants in Iran kicked off at the National Women’s Academy on Wednesday, iranvolleyball.com reported.

Sixteen players had been selected in the talent-identification stages in Fars, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, Khuzestan, Tehran and Qom provinces. They started their first training under guidance of the Iranian technical staff consisting of head coach Nasrin Khazani and assistant coach Mahsa Arasteh, with Ms Hanifa Arabzadeh from Afghanistan playing a key role in managing the team.

To strengthen cordial ties including sports relations between Iran and Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation, upon the request of the Afghanistan National Volleyball Federation, has formed a volleyball team of Afghan women immigrants in Iran to train in their preparation for the Afghanistan National Women’s Volleyball Championship in March.
