AL RAYYAN CAPTURES 40TH ARAB CLUB VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR MEN

Qatar’s Al Rayyan reigned supreme in the 40th Arab Club Volleyball Championship for Men after powering past Dar Kulaib of Bahrain in straight sets in the final showdown of the Saturday’s concluded tournament in Tunisia.

Al Rayyan, which previously won the title in 2018 and 2019, performed superbly in beating the Bahraini side in thrilling three-setter 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

The mighty Qataris stormed into the final clash following a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Tunisia’s Esperance in the Friday’s semifinals, while the quarterfinals earlier saw Al Rayyan make their mark after a 3-0 demolition of Oman’s Al-Seeb.

In the pool round-robin preliminaries earlier, the Qataris came up with their remarkable unbeaten form to top the second group with 12 points from four wins in a row against Al-Ahli Tripoli, Al-Kuwait Al-Kuwaiti, Palestinian friendship, Al-Kamel and Al-Wafi Oman.
