Bangkok, Thailand, January 3, 2021 – Al-Rayyan powered past Al-Wakrah in thrilling four-setter in the Qatar Senior Men’s Volleyball League at QVA Hall on Saturday, volleyball.qa reported.
Contesting the last match of the Week 12 campaign in the second section of the League, Al-Rayyan clinched the first two sets against Al-Wakrah 25-19 25-15 before going down in the third set 19-25. Al-Rayyan proved their class in the fourth set, bouncing back to win it 25-17 and match.
With this dramatic win, Al-Rayyan collected 22 points in total to come in fifth place overall, while Al-Wakrah remained in sixth place with 15 points.
At the end of Week 12, unbeaten Police stayed atop the Qatar Senior Men`s Volleyball League standings with 36 points, ahead of Al Arabi, which came in second position with 28 points. Qatar are trailing in third place with 26 points, with Al-Ahli in fourth place with 23 points. Al-Sadd and Al-Shamal occupy the ninth and 10th places respectively with four points apiece.
