Bangkok, Thailand, February 19, 2019 – AVC Technical Committee members and a large number of media representatives including TV crew gathered inside the meeting room at Dusit Princess Srinakharin Hotel on Tuesday for the ceremony marking the official signing of the contract between the AVC and Gerflor, an expert and a world leader which creates, manufactures and markets innovative, decorative and sustainable flooring solutions and wall finishes.
AVC President Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser presided over the ceremony, which was attended by AVC Executive Vice Presidents Mrs Rita Subowo and Mr Essa Hamzah, AVC Secretary-General Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, Mr Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Thailand Volleyball Association, and all members from the AVC Sports Events Council, the AVC Coaches Committee, the AVC Referees Committee, the AVC Beach Volleyball Committee, the AVC Medical Committee, the AVC Development and Marketing Committee and the AVC Press Committee.
Also in attendance as guests of honour in the contract signing and the press conference on the drawing of lots for five AVC Championships in 2019 were Mr Benjamin Le Toux, Manager of Gerflor Southeast Asia, Mr Prajaya Chaiyakam, Managing Director of Sport & Multimedia Business of Siam Multimedia (SMM) and Mr Natanon Danaipiriya, Sports Programe and Broadcast Director – Thairath TV.
As Gerflor has become the AVC’s official flooring sponsors, Dr Saleh A. Bin Nasser is convinced that the high-quality competition floor will help keep things as safe as possible while players playing volleyball, especially in major competitions including all AVC Championships.
The AVC President and Mr Benjamin Le Toux signed and exchanged the contracts and the Manager of Gerflor Southeast Asia gave some important information about Gerflor, a long-time flooring sponsor of FIVB, to all meeting attendants.
