AVC VOLLEYBALL FEDERATION MANAGEMENT COURSE COMPLETED IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand, December 15, 2023 – After four days of learning and understanding the importance and diversity of the field of volleyball management, the AVC Volleyball Federation Management Course came to a fruitful end, with candidates attending the certificate presentation and closing ceremony at the FIVB Development Center in Thailand on Friday.

Mr Nattapong Kesapan, Secretary General of Thailand Volleyball Association, Mr Raditia Rahmat Darwis from Indonesia, Member of the AVC Sport Events Council, and the other 14 candidates from the United Arab Emirates, Mongolia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, Maldives, Kuwait, Vietnam and Singapore attended the course, which proved to be an innovative, learning platform launched for volleyball education in Asia and had transformed the learning experience into great assets for the Asian volleyball community.

Conducted by Course Instructor Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, Honorary Life Vice President and Executive Director of Asian Volleyball Confederation, one of the most experienced and highly-accomplished AVC administrators with an extensive background of all areas of the volleyball organization, competitions and administration, the highly-value AVC Volleyball Federation Management Course offered all candidates the opportunity to gain the management skills and knowledge to effectively plan, organize, direct, and control multiple resources such as capital, labor, and materials in a volleyball management setting.

TVA President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang presided over the certificate presentation and closing ceremony at the FIVB Development Center on Friday, with Mr Songsak Chareonpong, Chairman of the AVC Referees Committee, and Mr Issara Riddhisinha, General Manager of the FIVB Development Center in Thailand, attending.

Ahead of the certificate presentation, the Course Instructor delivered a speech to all participants. “I would like to express my sincere congratulations on your active participation and a great success in this management course. I’m convinced that the course will highly contribute to expand your management knowledge and support your National Federations. For a very beneficial contribution for any future projects, please get in touch with the TVA to keep your information gained in this course updated and for any further information you may need, please contact AVC Headquarters in Bangkok,” said Mr Shanrit, who was recently inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame in the class of “Leader” on October 21 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the United States of America.

In his closing speech, TVA President Mr Somporn said, “On behalf of Thailand Volleyball Association, I would like to congratulate all the participants who attended the AVC Volleyball Federation Management Course. I am confident that the four-day course will help all of you effectively run management of your National Federations according to FIVB and AVC annual activities. I highly appreciated the great effort of Mr Shanrit, Mr Songsak and all staff of AVC, FIVB DC and Ramkhamhaeng Sports Office to jointly and successfully conduct this course and take good care of all the participants during this course. Finally, I wish all of the participants a safe trip back home and look forward to welcoming all of you back to FIVB DC in Bangkok.”
