The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) held its first Volleyball Technical Webinar for Coaches on April 7, with a total of 120 candidates from 10 countries actively participating in the three-and-a-half-hour-long webinar from Iran.
Those joining the online seminar, conducted by Mr Javad Mehregan, Director of Research and Education Committee of Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF), were from Maldives, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Iran.
At the inauguration of the webinar, CAVA President Mr Mohamed Latheef from Maldives addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of developing technical staff to upgrade the technical level of the competitions.
He also thanked IRIVF President and CAVA Vice President Dr Mohammad Reza Davarzani for facilitating this webinar. In return, Mr Latheef expressed his sincere thanks to Mr Javad for accepting the CAVA’s request to conduct the webinar.
Aside from CAVA President Mr Latheef, those attending the inauguration online comprised Mr Sridharan Garudapuram Essnipadi of India, Chairman of CAVA Development and Coaches Committee, Mr Masud Yazdanpanah from Iran, Chairman of CAVA Events and Referees Committee (Volleyball), Mr Mohammad Yousuf Sadeq from Afghanistan, Director of CAVA Research and Development.
The webinar for coaches covered three significant topics, featuring Introduction of Analysis, Use of Analysis for Drill Design and Use of Analysis for Managing the Game.
Detailed information such as Measurement of Players and Teams Situation, Technical and Tactical Measurement, Statistical Measurement as well as Role of the Coach including Improvement and Optimizing of Players and Team Performance had also been raised further.
