The changes included the creation of a number of Commissions and Councils and several name changes
The newly formed FIVB Board of Administration has approved the compositions for all Commissions and Councils for the 2024-2028 Olympic cycle during its first meeting following the FIVB 39th World Congress.
The FIVB Commissions and Councils play a key role in advising the FIVB across several key areas, including coaching, legal and medical among many others.
In addition, several changes to the Commissions and Councils were approved by the FIVB Board of Administration. These include the creation of several new bodies to reflect the evolving needs of the Global Volleyball Movement, including:
- Games Technology & Innovation Commission
- Heritage & Legacy Commission
- Volleyball Leagues & Clubs Council
Name changes were also implemented to better align with the roles and objectives of existing Commissions. These are:
- The Technical & Coaching Commission is now the Coaches Commission.
- The Marketing & Communications Commission is now the Communication Commission.
- The Snow Volleyball Commission is now the Mass Participation & Snow Volleyball Commission.
These changes underscore the FIVB’s commitment to innovation and empowering the development of the Global Volleyball Movement at all levels.
