INJURED MOJTABA MIRZAJANPOUR SIDELINED FOR FOUR MONTHS

Tehran, Iran, November 14, 2020 – Iran international outside spiker Mojtaba Mirzajanpour will spend four months on the sidelines, iranvolleyball.com reported on Saturday.

The Sepahan player suffered an ankle injury in the match against Shahdab Yazd in the Matchweek 9 of Iran Volleyball Super League on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old player underwent a surgery on Friday and will be sidelined for four months.

Mirzajanpour was part of the Iranian team which secured their 2020 Olympic Games berth at the AVC Men’s Tokyo Volleyball Qualification in Jiangmen, China in January.

In the Tokyo Olympics, Iran National Volleyball Team have been drawn in Pool A along with hosts Japan, Poland, Italy, Canada and Venezuela. Pool B consists of Brazil, the USA, Russia, Argentina, France and Tunisia.
