Bangkok, Thailand, June 15, 2022 – The online Level-1 FIVB Coaches Course is well underway in Lebanon, with FIVB International Instructor Dr Shihab El Dine Al Riyama from Oman conducting the 10-day coaching skills workshop at Military Sports Stadium.
A total of 35 candidates including one female joined the course, which started on June 13 and will run through June 22, 2022. The Organising Committee comprised Mr Issam Abou Jaoudeh, Secretary General of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation, Accountant Mr Naji Bassil and Executive Director Mr Emile Jabbour.
Dr Shihab El Dine Al Riyama, who has just completed conducting the Level-1 FIVB Coaches Course between June 5 to 9 in Kuwait, still played an important influencing role as the Course Director, while national instructor Djohnny Lakkis assisted him during the course.
In his welcome speech during the opening ceremony on June 13, FLVB Secretary General Mr Issam Abou Jaoudeh expressed appreciation and gratitude to FIVB President Dr Ary Graca for the kind support and care to the FLVB. He also thanked Course Director Dr Shihab El Dine Al Riyama for his professional work and for his follow up to the coaches in Lebanon which dated back to the year 2018 when he ran the Level-1 course in Lebanon. Finally, he wished all participants a success in the course.
Course Director Dr Shihab El Dine Al Riyama expressed his sincere thanks to the Lebanese Volleyball Federation for the efforts they made to organise the course, hoping that the course will be a smooth run and a success.
FLVB Executive Director Mr Emile Jabbour informed the participants about the benefits of attending the course, citing that the coaches course heightens awareness and unique opportunity for participants to improve their skills in order to help develop the volleyball level in the country.
