Bangkok, Thailand, July 14, 2021 – After successfully hosting the FIVB Level-1 International Coaches Course from June 17 to 26, the Palestinian Volleyball Federation repeated the success with the same mission by organising the online FIVB International Coaches Course Level 2 between July 9 and 20.
FIVB Instructor Sherif El-Shemerly from Egypt has been conducting the 12-day course, with a total of 20 local coaches from the northern and southern provinces participating via Zoom meeting. Furthermore, it will be for the second time that camera live has been used to provide practical exams from the participants’ place.
To ensure that the course will be run smoothly with ideal atmosphere for all participants, Sherif El-Shemerly is assisted by Mr Muneer Al-Talahmeh and supervised by PVF Secretary General Mr Raed Tarek Salahat as Course Coordinator.
On July 9, PVF President Mr Hamza Radi presided over the opening ceremony of the course, showing that the federation pays great attention to the technical side, in relation to coaches or referees on the way to developing the game system in Palestine.
The course lasts 10 days, intervenes with theory lectures and practical applications including modern training methods, and is expected to reflect with great benefits on local teams and national squads, particularly on theory of training, improvement of skills and fitness as well as psychological aspects of coaching and advanced game tactics.
