QALANDIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR BOYS 1 IN PALESTINE HOLDS MINI VOLLEYBALL FESTIVAL

Bangkok, Thailand, December 12, 2022 – Under the supervision of the Palestinian Volleyball Federation and hosted by Qalandia Elementary School for Boys 1, a Mini Volleyball Festival was held at the Qalandia Club Stadium in Palestine, with a total of 150 students aged 11-12 years participating to learn fundamental volleyball rules and basic skills.

The activities of the festival began with a review of the participating students and a welcome speech from School Principal, Mr Nasser Sajdieh, in which he indicated that playing and exercising are important parts and rights for every student because it is an element of raising the student’s academic, athletic and social level.

   

He thanked the Palestinian Volleyball Federation for organizing such activities for students to introduce them to the game of volleyball and spreading it in schools. He thanked the efforts of the Physical Education teacher, Mr Ashraf Al-Fani, and the teaching staff for their cooperation in the success of such activities.

   

The students were distributed on 10 playgrounds, and the half-round system was adopted by dividing them into several groups through which they would practice playing more and contact with the ball and other teams.

   

At the end of the activity, Rani Asfour, the founder of mini-volleyball in Palestine, thanked the school administration, the teaching staff and the students for their cooperation in making these sporting activities successes.
