Qatar underlined their supremacy over the Gulf Cooperation Council Games in Kuwait after making a clean sweep in the single round-robin competition including the comfortable straight-set 25-14, 25-14, 25-16 win against the UAE in their final match on Friday.

Following five consecutive wins without dropping a single set, Qatar, which earlier set a new GCC record by claiming their four wins in a row with a scintillating 25-21, 25-19, 25-23 win against Bahrain, maintained their remarkable unbeaten run from start to finish.

Qatar had already shone through their exceptional skills by blanking hosts Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia with the same 3-0 margin, leading the contest with 12 points followed by Bahrain, with nine points from three victories from four matches. The sensational 3-0 win against Bahrain on Thursday moved Qatar a step closer to winning the title.

On Friday, Qatar’s Al Annabi still proved their invincibility against the UAE to eventually stamp their authority over the GCC Games.
