QVA AND VFR SIGN COLLABORATION AGREEMENT

The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) signed an agreement with the Volleyball Federation of Russia (VFR) to collaborate on different ventures that will enhance the skills of Qatari players. The new initiative is expected to give the sport in the country a huge boost.

QVA President Mr Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari signed the agreement with his Russian counterpart Stanislav Shevchenko during a visit to the nation earlier this week.

Mr.Al Kuwari said, “The two associations will host training camps and courses and play friendly matches between our volleyball and beach volleyball teams. The programmes will involve the senior, youth and junior teams and help develop the sport in Qatar.”

During the visit, the QVA President reviewed infrastructure for volleyball as well as the facilities for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship, which will be held in 10 cities across Russia in 2022.

Mr Ali Al Kuwari was accompanied by Mr Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari, Vice-Chairman of QVA’s Beach Volleyball Committee.
