Bangkok, Thailand, November 16, 2020 – Reigning champions Tianjin defeated Sichuan in straight sets to top Group A in the Chinese Women’s Volleyball League in Jiangmen on Monday, xinhuanet.com reported.
Wang Yizhu, the new talent of Tianjin, had a match-high 20 points, while no player of Sichuan scored in double-digit. Tianjin won by 25-14, 25-7, 25-19.
In other actions on Monday, Guangdong got a victory over Zhejiang 3-0 to improve their win-loss record to 3-1 in four matches. It turned out to be a tight game at the beginning as Guangdong beat Zhejiang 25-23, then Guangdong didn’t give Zhejiang the chance to rally and got two easy wins in next two set by 25-11, 25-14.
Henan claimed their first victory in the tournament following their dramatic 3-1 win Hebei 25-16, 20-25, 25-17, 25-19.
