4.25 SPORT CLUB TAME HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL VC IN 5TH-8TH PLAYOFFS

Tianjin, China, May 4, 2019 – DPR Korea’s 4.25 Sport Club snatched a comfortable 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-12) victory over unfancied Hong Kong International VC in the 5th-8th playoff clash of the 2019 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship at the Wuqing Sports Center on Saturday.

Kim Jin Hyang replaced captain Jong Jin Sim in the starting line-up and she staged an excellent performance in the first set to bag a set-high 8 points. Yeung Sau Mei also scored 8 points for the Hong Kong China side but she was the lone attacker, while 4.25 enjoyed contribution from all the members. Following a service error by Cheung Sze Man, Hong Kong International VC yielded the first set 18-25.

The following two sets became more easier for 4.25, as they limited the best scorer Yeung Sau Mei of Hong Kong International VC and, led by Kim Hyon Ju, often spiked the ball to the opponents. With the remaining two sets ending with the similar margin 25-12 25-12, 4.25 soon ended the one-sided match.

Kim Hyon Ju chipped in a match-high 18 points for 4.25, followed by Kim Jin Hyang with 14. Yeung Sau Mei contributed impressive 13 points for Hong Kong International VC.

With this victory, DPR Korea’s 4.25 will play the winners between TPE and Vietnam’s VTV Binh Dien Long An for the best 5th place possible, while Hong Kong International VC will face a losing team in the 7th-8th playoff.
