Bangkok, Thailand, February 1, 2024 – The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Board of Administration convened at Alexender Hotel here, with 13 Members attending the four-hour meeting.
Key agenda items included discussions on the 2024 Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Calendar, Development Programs for 2024 and as well as the proposed budget for the year 2024. The meeting was chaired by CAVA President, Mr. Mohamed Latheef.
In his welcome address, Mr. Latheef expressed gratitude to all National Federations for their significant contributions to the success of the sport in the region in 2023. He commended their solid commitment and dedication, emphasizing their pivotal role in advancing volleyball within the region. Mr. Latheef also expressed enthusiasm for continued collaborative efforts in pursuit of excellence in the upcoming year.
In the Thursday’s meeting, the Board of Administration approved 10 events for Volleyball and 4 events for Beah Volleyball and 7 Development programs, to be conducted in the year 2024.
The CAVA Board of Administration meeting was honored by the presence of Mr. Luise Alexandre, FIVB Director for Asia and Oceania as well as Mr. Hitesh Malhotra from FIVB Development. Mr. Hitesh presented on the FIVB Development program and engaged in a Q&A session with the participants.
