Bangkok, Thailand, October 16, 2020 – The Qatar Senior Men`s Volleyball League draw for the 2020-2021 season (first section) was held on Thursday evening at the QVA Meeting Hall, Qatar Volleyball Association reported in a news release on volleyball.qa.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Saeed Salem Al Jamaani, QVA Assistant Secretary welcomed all representatives of sports clubs participating in the League as well as the sports media, hoping that the new season will witness competitive competitions and better levels that confirm the efforts thrown in developing the standard of Qatari volleyball which is expected to bear fruits in competitions domestically and internationally.

He said that everyone witnessed the intense and exciting competition during the last period in the final of the previous League between Police and Al-Arabi, as well as in the Qatar Cup between Al-Arabi and Al-Ahli, where the players appeared at good levels and confirmed the teams’ desire to present themselves in a distinctive way.

The QVA Assistant Secretary said that he looks forward to the final round matches of the Amir Volleyball Cup, and he hoped that the Men’s League matches will also be full of strength and excitement and with better levels than the previous season.

After that, the Senior Men’s Volleyball League preliminary round draw was conducted which saw matches distributed by the absolute lottery system.

The schedule for the League will be issued at a later time, while two matches a day will take place as usual, but Al-Shamal and Al-Khor will have a priority to play the second match due to the relative distance of the headquarters of their clubs.
