IRANIAN MEN’S SUPER LEAGUE RESUME WITH SIX THRILLING ENCOUNTERS

Tehran, Iran, November 25, 2020 – The highly-anticipated Iranian Men’s Super League took place on Wednesday with six matches, as Ramsar Hoursan joined Ardakan Khatam and Urmia Shahrdari as the week 11’s winners, iranvolleyball.com reported.

The home encounters of the Iranian Men’s Super League preliminaries were held at Volleyball Federation Hall and Volleyball House of Tehran with three matches apiece.

Contesting the week 11, Ramsar Hoursan struggled to beat Urmia Azarbatri in hard-fought five-set thriller 25-23 22-25 25-22 21-25 15-11, while Ardakan Khatam, winners at the 2018 Asian Men’s Club Championship in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, produced a magnificent comeback 3-1 (20-25 25-20 25-18 25-22) victory over Qazvin Shahrdari.

Elsewhere, Urmia Shahrdari powered past Haraz Labaniat in thrilling three-setter 25-18 25-16 25-18, Tehran Saipa defeated Tehran Paykan in straight sets 25-23 25-21 25-17, Sirjan Foulad struggled to beat Sepahan Fould in closely-contested battle 26-24, 25-23, 29-27 and defending Asian Men’s Club champions Varamin Shahrdari went down to Kordestan Rahyab Melal in straight sets 23-25, 25-27, 22-25.

Sirjan Foulad, Sepahan Fould and Urmia Shahrdari finished the top three teams at the final standings of week 11, as Gonbad Shahrdari and Yazd Shahdab became the two teams to enjoy the rest of the week.
