One hundred original Mikasa balls were presented to Tajikistan Volleyball Federation during the official visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Mr Toshihiro Aiki to National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and TVF at Tajikistan NOC Office in Dushanbe on Friday, February 3.
It was another historical event in the TVF activities when the meeting was held between the Ambassador and TVF Members led by its Secretary General Mr Muhib Latipov and Mr Muhammad Yusuf Sadeq, FIVB Instructor and head coach of the Tajikistan men’s national team. During the meeting, Mr Toshihiro handed over 100 Mikasa balls donated by Japan Volleyball Association. This was part of coordinated effort to strengthen the excellent bilateral ties between JVA and TVF.
During the FIVB Congress in the Netherlands on September 22, 2022, Tajikistan Volleyball Federation delegate Mr Muhib Latipov and Mr Muhammad Yusuf Sadeq had separate meetings with Presidents of National Federations and JVA was one of the developed federations which promised to support TVF much further down the road. This was, as a symbol of friendship and respect for cooperation, why the JVA sent 100 original “Mikasa V200W” balls made in Japan to the Tajikistan Volleyball Federation as free donation.
This aid was mobilized to the Republic of Tajikistan with the support of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Japan, and was handed over to the Tajikistan Volleyball Federation by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Tajikistan, Mr Toshihiro Aiki.
Distinguished guests at this meeting also included Mr Dilshod Nazarov, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and former Olympic gold medalist; Mr Abdullozoda Muhammadsho, General Secretary of the Tajikistan NOC; Mr Mavzuna Choriyeva, Director of the Olympic Games of Tajikistan and the laureate of the Olympic Games, and representatives of the domestic Formula 55 betting company, Ahmad Boboev and Shermatov Alisher.
The meeting was held within the framework of national traditions of the Tajik people and at the highest level. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the Japan Ambassador on occasion of the Japan Volleyball Association’s support to the TVF. Sincere appreciation also went to Tajikistan Embassy in Japan, which also played a key role for its great support and assistance in shipping the balls to Tajikistan.
