NEW BAHRAIN LEAGUE TO KICK OFF NOV 1 WITH 14 TEAMS VYING FOR TOP HONOUR

Al-Ahli capture the title at the previous season

Bangkok, Thailand, October 31, 2022 – The new Bahrain Volleyball League, to be held under the name of the well-known sports personalities in Bahrain and the world Sheikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa, will kick off at Isa Sports City Multipurpose Hall in Riffa on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

 

A total of 14 clubs participating in the league were divided into two pools of seven teams each. They comprise Al Ahli, Al Najma, Nabih Saleh, Bani Jamra, Alshabab, Maameer and Etehad Alreef in Pool A.

Pool B consists of Al-Nasser, Dar Kulaib, Muharraq , A’Ali, Al Tadamon, Busaiteen and Al Dair. Teams will compete in the pool round-robin preliminaries. Top three teams from each group will qualify to Isa bin Rashid League, with the remaining eight teams relegated to BVA League.

At the previous season, Al-Ahli Bahrain reigned supreme, while Al Nasser picked up silver medal. Dar Kulaib and Al-Najma finished third and fourth places respectively.
