SHANGHAI, BAODING MAKE IT TWO ON THE TROT IN CHINESE MEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Wuyuan, China, October 30 – Shanghai and Baoding claimed their second win in as many games, while Shandong eased past Yunnan in straight sets in the 2022-23 Chinese men’s Volleyball Super League here on Sunday.

After losing a close first set, Tianjin raced to a 5-2 lead in the second set but failed to turn the game around, as Shanghai smashed Tianjin 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-18) through quality serves and fast attacks.

Earlier on Sunday, Shandong tasted their first win of the season with spiker Zhai Dejun donating a game-high 14 points, sweeping Yunnan 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-18). Wang Yezhen, 19, scored eight points for Yunnan.

In another game, Baoding defeated Huangshi 28-26, 25-19 and 25-23. Xu Ke and Zhang Enqi shared the game’s top scorers, earning 13 points for Baoding and Huangshi respectively.
