POLICE, AL-ARABI FINISH 1-2 AFTER FIRST ROUND OF QATAR SENIOR MEN’S LEAGUE

Bangkok, Thailand, December 9, 2020 – In-form Al-Arabi ended their first-round campaign of the Qatar Senior Men’s Volleyball League 2020-2021 with a straight-set win against Qatar SC.

The first round came to a conclusion on Monday evening at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall, with Al-Arabi, champions at the 3rd Qatar Men’s Championship, the 2019-2020 Qatar Cup and the Amir Cup, struggling to beat Qatar SC in hard-fought three-set thriller 25-22 25-22 29-27.

At the conclusion of the first round of the Qatar Senior Men’s League on Monday, defending champions Police captured the top spot of the standing with 25 points, followed by Al-Arabi with 3 points behind.

Al-Rayyan came in third position with 19 points, leaving Al-Ahli and Qatar SC in fourth and fifth places respectively with the similar 17 points.

Al-Wakrah finished sixth place overall with 12 points, while Al-Khor, Al-Gharrafa and Al-Sadd came in 7th, 8th and 9th with 10, 6 and 4 points respectively. Al-Shamal finished on the bottom of the standing with only one point.
