QVA DECIDES TO POSTPONE 3RD NATIONAL MEN’S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Bangkok, Thailand, September 10, 2020 – The Qatar Volleyball Association decided to postpone the third National Men’s Volleyball Championship for the current sport season 2019-2020, QVA said in a news release on volleyball.qa on Wednesday.

At first, the championship is due to be held from September 10 to 14, but has been postponed to September 23 to 27 instead at the QVA Hall.

The postponement came as a result of the Wednesday’s meeting of the Qatar Volleyball Association, chaired by Ali bin Ghanem Al-Kuwari, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the heads of the clubs’ volleyball apparatus. The meeting agreed unanimously to cancel the completion of the general league for (AL-AMAL) U-13 category (second section) for the current sports season 2019-2020.

Moreover, the meeting approved the winning clubs according to the current arrangement which saw Al-Rayyan capture the top spot, while Al-Khor and Al-Gharafa finished second and third respectively.

It was also decided to postpone the start of the Youth & Juniors’ matches for the new sports season 2020-2021 until further notice.
