TIANJIN CLAIM FOUR WINS IN SUCCESSION IN 2021-22 CHINESE WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

Jiangmen, China, November 29, 2021 – Defending champions Tianjin trounced Sichuan with a dominant 3-0 victory in the Chinese Women’s Volleyball League here on Monday.

Despite resting leading spiker Li Yingying, Tianjin claimed their fourth consecutive win 25-16, 25-9, 25-19 to remain unbeaten in the 2021-22 campaign.

Vargas Melissa led Tianjin with a game-high 21 points with Chinese international Wang Yuanyuan adding 15 points. Miu Yiwen contributed a team-high 15 points to pace Sichuan.

Later on Monday, Guangdong defeated Yunnan 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-20), thanks to Chen Peiyan and Wang Yifan, both of whom provided a game-high 14 points. Liu Mengya and Zhang Xinlu scored 11 points respectively for Yunnan.

Monday’s games also saw Shandong smash Zhejiang 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-22) for their first win this season. Sun Jie Shandong was named MVP with a game-high 17 points.
