VOLLEYBALL ORGANISING COMMITTEE OF GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL APPROVES 2022 TOURNAMENT AGENDA

The Volleyball Organizing Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has approved the agenda of the tournaments for 2022.

This came during the meeting, which was held with the participation of Mr Youssef Ahmed Kanou, Qatar Volleyball Association Secretary General and member of the Organizing Committee, via visual call.

The committee approved the organization of the volleyball competition in the GCC Games, which will be held in Kuwait from January 9 to 18, while the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 38th Gulf Club Championship from March 4 to 13, and Saudi Arabia will host the 6th Championship for youth teams in July 2022 in the event based on official approvals, the Sultanate of Oman will host the 17th beach tournament for men and the first for juniors, at their request, after Kuwait apologized for hosting it.

The meeting also approved the minutes of the previous meeting, and reviewed the reports of the previous tournaments including the 3rd Junior Festival organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from August 19 to 23, and the 6th Junior Championships in Bahrain from August 22 to August 31.  Arbitration committees were also formed for various upcoming tournaments, with new members of the Organizing Committee and new members of the Referees and Candidates Committee from the national federations getting approval.

During the meeting, the draw was also conducted for the 38th Gulf Club Championship in Bahrain, with the participation of the Qatari Police Club.
