Tehran, Iran, October 12, 2020 – The 2020/21 Women’s Volleyball League will kick off on October 22, with eight teams vying for the top honour, Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation said in its iranvolleyball.com on Sunday.
The Iran Women’s Volleyball League will start on October 22 with stringent health protocols due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The League was originally supposed to be held with 14 teams, but only eight teams announced their readiness for the new season.
Saipa, Zob Ahan, Khojasteh Eslamshahr, Paykan, Sarvghamatan Babol, Setregan Fars, Exxon and Shahrdari Qazvin will participate in the 19th edition of the competition.
MATCHDAY 1 FIXTURE:
*Saipa v Shahrdari Qazvin
*Zob Ahan Isfahan v Exxon
* Khojasteh Eslamshahr v Setregan Fars
*Paykan v Sarvghamatan Babol
