Zhu Ting’s presence empowered her teammates and helped them to step up their game as China claimed numerous successes including qualifying for the Finals of the first two editions of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League in 2018 and 2019.
The Chinese volleyball superstar is a complete player who impresses with an outstanding scoring ability. She is also a reliable leader who does her fair share of chores in defence. At the 2018 VNL, she powered 92 spikes, 15 blocks and five aces in the preliminary round, then added 77 spikes, six blocks and three aces to become the final round’s top scorer and claim the Best Outside Spiker award.
Zhu made her professional debut in 2012 with Guangzhou-based club Guangdong Evergrande, which won an FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship bronze in 2013. She next played for her home club Henan Huawei from 2013 to 2016, then moved to Turkey to play for VakifBank Istanbul, where she won bronze and two gold medals between 2016 to 2018. She returned to China and has spent the last three seasons playing for Tianjin Bohai Bank.
